Groupon Landing Page

I was helping a Jewelry designer market and sell her jewelry on the Internet. To achieve the goals, I developed a plan, designed and coded a landing page and added key functionality to her web site to facilitate SEO and SEM. As a result, she was able to sell out her entire inventory of earrings in less than 36 hours using Groupon.  Gross sales revenue exceeded $121K and there were over 4050 orders from customers nationwide.

There were many variations of each product according to color and style. It was difficult to make sure all retailers had updated web content, images, videos, etc. for their specific product line. I came up with a solution for web content syndication. Evaluated vendors and finally negoitiated 10% discount with the best vendor. As a result Sales Increased by 41%, Visibility Increased  by 122% verified by web metrics.

Developed and installed Bilingual Search engine at TEPCO

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) wanted a search engine for use on their Intranet.  Luckily Perl can process incoming data using either single or double byte.

I was able to modify an existing Perl script to search double byte Japanese language text. I also installed Perl on their server in order to run code to run.

My search engine code was installed at TEPCO‘s Human Resources (HR) department intranet on a Sun Solaris workstation.
