Developed and installed Bilingual Search engine at TEPCO

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) wanted a search engine for use on their Intranet.  Luckily Perl can process incoming data using either single or double byte.

I was able to modify an existing Perl script to search double byte Japanese language text. I also installed Perl on their server in order to run code to run.

My search engine code was installed at TEPCO‘s Human Resources (HR) department intranet on a Sun Solaris workstation.
