On August 6, 1945, the Enola Gay dropped the uranium-based Little Boy on Hiroshima. Three days later, on August 9, 1945, Bockscar delivered the plutonium-based Fat Man to Nagasaki. The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki changed the course of World War II and marked the first, and only use of a nuclear weapon in war.

I photograph this event freely—capturing portraits, rituals, lanterns, and the shared humanity that fills the space. These images are offered to everyone at no cost, as a small contribution to a much larger message: peace is something we build together.
